Monroe Walker, Jr., 63, Clarksville, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 of a massive heart attack, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Randall Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Nanney-Hollis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born in Cheatham County, Feb. 5, 1946 the son of Monroe Walker, Sr. and Bertie Lehman Walker.He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Flo Underwood and Ivy Leona Walker. He was the owner of Clarksville Truck & Tractor and Walker Farms. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Reba Williams Walker of Clarksville, two daughters Melinda(Scott) Denney, Ginger Walker both of Clarksville, two brothers James Walker of Henrietta, John Walker of Clarksville, eight sisters, Marie Holt, Joyce Morrow, Jewell Morrow, Shirley Simmons, Nancy Grubb, Susan Rittenberry all of Clarksville, Anita Clark of Buchanan, Ann Regan of Greenville, TN, two grandchildren Ashley(Dan) Ward, Jonathan(Sarah)Denney, four great grandchildren Ashton Ward, Miller Ward, Madisyn Denney and Kendyl Denney. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Denney, Dan Ward, Justen Grubb, Floyd Clinard, Dan Williams, Marty Williams, Jeffrey Morrison and Jeremy Lobdell.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Clarksville Truck & Tractor.
