Obituary

Josephine (Jaskot) Wlodyka, 87, of South Lawrence, passed away on January 29, 2010 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover following a brief illness.
Josephine was born, raised and educated in Haverhill. She has been a resident of Lawrence most of her life where she raised her family. Josephine worked as a stitcher in Lawrence at various Shoe Mills until her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and caring for animals. Josephine most enjoyed time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, John J. Wlodyka, Sr. and two brothers, Joseph and John. She leaves her daughter, Carol Brennan and Mark Wilcox of Wells, ME, two sons, John J. Wlodyka Jr. and his wife Anna of Methuen, MA and Robert Wlodyka and his wife Barbara of Saugus, MA, a brother, Stanley Jaskot and his wife Eva of Lawrence, 6 grandchildren, Dan Brennan, Susan MacGregor, Michelle Kurchian, Michael, Brian and James Wlodyka, 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew and Kyle Brennan, Brianna and Connor MacGregor and Macy Kurchian and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd at the Arthur J. Scott Funeral Home, 298 S. Broadway, Lawrence. A Funeral Mass in her honor will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in N. Andover. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
