Obituary

WEBSTER - Vincent B. Alexandrowicz, 58, of Thompson Road, died Thursday, January 28, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 12 years, Luba (Manzova) Alexandrowicz; a stepson, Steve Manzov of Worcester; a stepdaughter, Eli Dimovska and her husband Nikola of Macedonia; a sister, Jeanne M. Elby and her husband Tom of Windham, NH; and 2 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald in 2001.

He was born in Webster, a son of Bernard J. and Myrle J. (Dansereau) Alexandrowicz and lived here most of his life. He graduated from Bartlett High School and attended Worcester State College.

He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Alexandrowicz was a maintenance mechanic at Reed & Prince in Worcester from 1978 to 1990 and then at Gentex Optics in Dudley from 1994 to 2003. He retired in 2004 due to illness.

He was a former member of the Polish American Citizens Club and the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post #184.

He attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was an accomplished drummer and played in country and polka bands for many years. He loved to go fishing and to golf.

The funeral will be held Monday, February l, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide the military honors at the cemetery. Calling hours will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, January 31, in the funeral home.
