Mrs. Filippina Terranova, (Guccardi) age 99 of Medford formerly of Somerville died Monday in the Glen Ridge Nursing Care in Medford. She was the wife of the late Frank P. Terranova. Mrs. Terranova was born and educated in Palermo, Sicily. In 1926 she came to the United States as a young bride at the age of 16 and settled in East Boston. She worked as a seamstress in the clothing industry. Among her hobbies she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed working in the garden. She enjoyed time with her friends, however nothing was more satisfying than the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great grandson. She is survived by 2 daughters Frances Giannetti of Medford, Rose Savosik and her husband Ronald of FL. a son, Frank Terranova and his wife Marsha of FL. . Mother of the late Mary Giannetti and mother in law to her husband Ronald of Fl. Dear grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Friends may call on Friday 7:45 - 8:30 am at Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, Friday at 9:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
