Clarice M. Winter Edwards, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born in Algoma, MS to the late Robert W. and Irene Hawkins Winter. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS. She loved her family and enjoyed playing rook and dominoes.
The visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 1:00 until 2:30 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:30 PM in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Bain and Bro. Joe Davis officiating. The committal will be held in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Water Valley, MS with Larry Edwards, Eddie Long, Butch Peno, Larry Christman, Marquis Stevenson, Tommy Edwards, Sammy Edwards, and Jimmy Dale Edwards serving as pall bearers.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by two daughters, Lynda Edwards Mankowski and her husband Martin of Elgin, IL, and Debby Edwards Hughes and her husband Jack of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Hazel Long of Bruce, MS, and Paula Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, LA; one brother, Robert Winter of Atwater, CA; five grandchildren, Martin Lynn Mankowski, Laurie Mankowski Peters, Amy Mankowski, Tracey Mankowski, and Brandon Hughes; and eight great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lynn Edwards, four sisters, Kat Floyd, Nina Christmas Zastrow, Jonnie Gardner, and Syble Winter.
