Obituary


Worcester—Jeanita B. Kirouac passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home, Monday, January 25, 2010, at the age of 78. Her husband of 38 years, Emile A. Kirouac, died in 1993.

She leaves three sons—Michael E. Kirouac of Worcester, Daniel E. Kirouac of Westminster, and Steven D. Kirouac and his wife, Michelle (Loader) of Worcester; three sisters, Georgette Gamache of Florida, Rachel C. Therrien of Gardner, and Gloria P. Kirouac of Gardner; two grandchildren, Jamie and Ryan Kirouac; a step-grandson, Mike Kenney; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son, Rodney A. Kirouac in 2005 and her daughter-in-law, Dyann L. (Fasshauer) Kirouac in 2006.

Jeanita was born and raised in Gardner, a daughter of Edward and Henrietta (Fontaine) Paradis. Jen enjoyed raising her family, dining out, shopping, and playing Bingo. She was a fan of Elvis Presley. She was a member of St. George’s Church, Worcester.

Funeral services will be held from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, on Friday, January 29, with a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, Thursday, January 28, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
