Obituary

FULLWOOD - Woodrow Fullwood, 92, of Yulee passed away Tuesday morning, January 26, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Fernandina Beach. He was born June 4, 1917 in Suwannee County, Florida and moved to Nassau County in the 1930's. He attended Five Points Baptist Church and was a deacon at Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army as a corporal and was involved in eight island campaigns in the South Pacific. Mr. Fullwood loved and cared for his family and made sure they all had what they needed. Family came first with him. He was always concerned for his brothers and sisters and their children. He was a gentle man of pure heart and a giving spirit. His family describes him as a living witness to the scriptures. He also enjoyed the Atlanta Braves and the Florida Gators. Mr. Fullwood was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice Fullwood, who passed away in 2000 and by six brothers and four sisters. He is survived by two sons, James Quincy Harris (Judy) and Earl R. Harris, all of Yulee, FL; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, at the River of Praise Worship Center with Pastors Pat Ennis and Larry Osburn officiating. Interment will follow at Green Pine Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Green Pine Funeral Home.
