TAUNTON - Agnes C.(King) Faria, passed away comfortably at Marian Manor, surrounded by her loving family, on January 23, 2010.
She was 85.
Agnes was the wife of the late Daniel Faria, who died in April of 2008.
A happy, energetic woman, she loved music and loved to sing.
Showing love and compassion to every life she touched, time spent caring for her family brought Agnes the most joy.
The youngest of twelve, she was born in Taunton to the late Antone and Francisca (Reis) King.
Agnes worked many years, for Thomas Bros. Market, on Braga Square, from her teen years to their closing in the late 50’s.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, she collected for the annual Catholic Charities Appeal for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel T. Faria his wife Rhonda of Taunton, and John R. Faria his wife Gale of Berkley; a daughter, Cathy F. Marcotte and her husband Patrick of Lithia, FL; nine grandchildren, Lynn Faria and her partner Kendra Hutchinson, Marc Faria and his wife Stacie, Ryan Faria, Yvonne Faria and her wife Sarah, John Faria and his wife Stephanie, Justin Faria, Brenton Marcotte, Kyle Faria, and Camden Marcotte; three great grandchildren, Austin, Holden and Isabella Faria; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, on Friday, Jan. 29th at 12 Noon, followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at a 1 p.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 28th from 5 to 8 p.m.
