Viviane Beatrice Nicholson 82, of Grace Ave. died Saturday at Oakland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of John J. Nicholson. Mrs. Nicholson was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Arthur and Dorilda (Belleville) Ladouceur. Mrs. Nicholson was a homemaker for most of her life. In her younger years she worked for the former Masurel Worsted, McCarthy's Department Store, Adam Cutright, and Brown's Drugstores. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Senior Citizens and Ladies Guild. Mrs. Nicholson was also an avid bowler.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter Pauline Fontaine of Montgomery, AL, two grandchildren Matthew and Bethany Menard, and a great grandson Malak Herring. She was also the sister of the late Dolores Demers.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM.
