Paul F. Fitzpatrick, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Thursday January 21, 2010 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 66 years old.
Paul was born in Boston on February 17, 1943. He grew up in Charlestown and attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School. Paul worked as a printer for many years at Nimrod Press in Kenmore Square. He was a member of Bunker Hill Council # 62, Knights of Columbus in Charlestown and The Somerville City Club.
Paul is the loving companion of 29 years to Veronica "Ronnie" Boyden. He is the father of Kerry LeBlanc, Kristin Lynch and Marie Connors and her husband Peter. He is the loving Grandpa Paully Wally to Patrice Connors and her son Davio. He is the beloved brother of Marion Hughes, Dorothy Pratt, Robert Fitzpatrick, Betty Gorsuch, Anne Fitzpatrick, Joseph "Jopa" Fitzpatrick, the late Helen Geno, William, Edward, John, Warren, Gerald and Francis Fitzpatrick. He is a special friend to Margaret "Peggy" Doherty. Also many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Paul's Funeral on Tuesday January 26, 2010 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours are on Monday January 25, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m.
