Anita J. (Simeone) Anderson of Brockton and formerly of Cambridge, passed away January 22, 2010, after 40 years of courageously battling Multiple Sclerosis. Born on February 13, 1939 in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Lena Simeone. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin and has been a Brockton resident for 45 years. Anita loved to sing and always had a song in her heart and loved to tell a good joke. She enjoyed bingo, the Red Sox, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of Raymond L. Anderson for 51 wonderful years and the devoted mother of 3 children, 2 sons, Brian T. and his wife Lisa of Stoughton, Michael J. and his wife Tracy Jo of Norton, and daughter, Linda M. of Brockton. She was the loving Nana to 4 grandchildren, Abigail, Brett, Michael, and Nicole. She was the sister of the late Thomas Simeone, and Elizabeth Simeone Rubin of Saugus.
Funeral Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 10am. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8pm. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anita’s memory to the Hospice of Brockton, 500 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.
