Veronica A. (Igo) Finn, 87, of Manchester died January 21, 2010 at Holy Cross Health Center after a brief illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 26, 1922, she was the daughter of John T. and Alice M. (Smith) Igo. She graduated from St. Cecilia High School in Brooklyn, NY, then lived in Brooklyn and Lynbrook, NY most of her life before moving to Manchester two years ago.
Mrs. Finn worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company several years before her children were born.
In Lynbrook, she was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Parish and was a member of the Mother’s Club at that church.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes her husband of 57 years, Patrick “Wally” Finn of Manchester; two daughters, Alicia A. Finn of Manchester, and Kathy V. Stefanowicz and her husband, Paul, of Cohoes, NY; two grandchildren, Michael P. Stefanowicz and Eileen V. Stefanowicz; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, January 25, 2010 at St. Raphael Church, corner of Ferry and Walker streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the chapel at St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St., Manchester.
