Obituary

WORCESTER- Mary (Bogosian) Arakelian, 93, of Worcester, died Monday, September 22, 2003, in Memorial Hospital. Her husband of 39 years, Ardo Arakelian, died in 1979.

She leaves a son and his wife, Richard M. and Betsy A. Arakelian of Spencer; a daughter, Marcia L. Arakelian of Worcester; a grandson, Jason M. Arakelian, and a great-grandson, Cameron J. Arakelian; 2 step-grandchildren, Dorene Jette and Steven Bresnahan; 2 step great-grandchildren, Casey and Ryan Jette; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Bogosian; and a sister, Neva (Bogosian) Leketa.

Mrs. Arakelian was born in the Whitinsville section of Northbridge, daughter of Madieros and Sophia (Ohan) Bogosian. She attended Girls Trade School in Worcester. Mrs. Arakelian worked for several years at Capital Footwear as a final inspector. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and decorating.

A calling hour will be held Wednesday, September 24, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln St., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. in Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, Restoration Fund, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
