Anne (Busook) Tenofsky, 96 passed away on January 17, 2010 at the Hebrew Senior Life in Roslindale. She was a resident of Chelsea and Revere for many years. She was educated in Malden School and Malden High School.
Anne was a life member of the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Shurt Leff St. Synagogue Sisterhood and Temple Emmanuel Sisterhood of Chelsea. She was also a past member of Presidium Greater Boston Council, Pioneer Women. Anne was the past president of the Brandyl Shuman Club of Chelsea. She was a member of the Jack Satter House Coral Group, a life member of Hebrew Senior Life Center in Roslindale. Anne preformed as a soloist for many charitable organizations in Boston, Brown’s Hotel in the Catskill’s and King David Hotel in Jerulsalem.
She was the beloved wife of the late Saul “Mickey” Tenofsky. Devoted Mother of Elliot Tenofsky and his wife Sandra, Steven J. Tenofsky and his wife Ruth. Loving sister of the late Eleanor Busook and Albert Busook. Loving grandmother of Deborah Gail Tenofsky, Adam David Tenofsky and Russel Evan Tenofsky. Great grandmother of Josh, Katie and Livy.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq. Chelsea on Tuesday January 19 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Everett. Memorial Observance will be held at The Jack Satter House 420 Revere Beach Blvd. Revere, MA 9th floor, Tuesday and Wednesday 3-8 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Hebrew Senior Life 1200 Centre St. Boston, MA 02131.
