Salem, NH – Joan F. (Reardon) Essick, 77, died Monday January 18, 2010 at the Salem Haven Nursing Home.
Joan was born in Lowell the daughter of George and Mary (Hayden) Reardon and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Mrs. Essick had been employed in Lowell for 10 years at Hines Electric. Most recently she worked as a Sales Clerk for many years with Cherry, Webb and Touraine of Methuen before her retirement.
She enjoyed the movies, and spending as much time as possible with her family.
A longtime resident of Lawrence Joan was the widow of Raymond L. Essick who passed away in 1999, and is survived by a daughter Nancy A. and her husband Tim McMenimen of Marlborough, MA, one son Raymond J. Essick of Hampton, NH, and daughter Paula F. Essick and husband David Wilkins of Batavia, IL, one brother George Reardon of Lowell, and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by her sister Eileen Secchiaroli.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica Church Methuen with burial to follow in Saint Mary Cemetery in Lawrence.
Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday evening from 5-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
