Andover, MA- Mildred A.(Videto) Nowell, 83, of Andover, died Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Bradford, 10 days before her 84th Birthday.
Born in Andover, on January 27th,1926, Mildred was the daughter of Frank and Bernardeene (Dowell) Videto. She was a graduate of Punchard High School in Andover, class of 1943 and Katherine Gibbs School of Boston, 1945.
She was the wife of Frederick N. Nowell, Jr. Mildred raised and cared for her children, devoting her life to them. They were her greatest joy and her love spread down to her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also looked forward to spending her winters in Florida.
She was a member of South Church in Andover, the Andover Garden Club and the Andona Society.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frederick N. Nowell Jr., sons Frederick N. Nowell, III, and his wife Leslie J. of Andover, Todd J. Nowell and his wife Marianne of Londonderry, NH, daughter Robyn L. and her husband George R. Poirier of Bradford, one sister, Frances Brandenburg of Tequesta, FL, seven grandchildren, Kirstin L. and her husband Kevin D. Nusky of Andover, Ashley P. and her husband William H. Andrade of Andover, Frederick N. Nowell, IV of Boston, Keith A. D’Amelio and his wife Jaime of Stanford, CA, Matthew C. Nowell of Londonderry, Drew E. Poirier and Ethan R. Poirier of Bradford, as well as 4 great grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, January 21st, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence, St., Methuen. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11 AM on Friday.
