Danvers—Eleanor Rose “Ellie” (Salem) Noyes, of Danvers, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 16, 2010. She was the devoted and cherished wife of Donald F. “Ducky” Noyes, Sr., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody on January 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Martha (Farrah) Salem. She was raised in Peabody and was a graduate of Saint John’s Catholic High School. Ellie worked as the division secretary for the North Shore Community College Nursing Division for 27 years until her retirement in 2006.
She touched the lives of everyone she met through her kindness and generous heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she will be forever missed by her son, Donald F. “Donnie” Noyes, Jr. of Danvers, her daughter, Tracy A. (Noyes) Moore and her husband Tom of York New Salem, PA; and her 5 very loved grandchildren, Adrianna Noyes of Los Angeles, CA, and Tanner, Tristan, Tommy, and Tayden Moore of York New Salem, PA. She is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Ford and her husband Arthur of Danvers and Jean Brennenstuhl of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Salem.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 4-6PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. All other services are private.
