Obituary

TAUNTON – George A. King, III, 77, died at Golden Living Wedgemere of Taunton on January 10, 2010. He was the son of Catherine (Wambolt) King, and the late George A. King, Jr.
Educated in Taunton schools, he graduated from Taunton High School in 1950. He later served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, China Service Medal, and the Korean Service Medal.
Mr. King was last a Supervisor of Custodians at Wheaton College from 1986 until retiring in 1995.
Besides his mother, he leaves a son, Scott L. King of Plymouth, NH; a daughter, Karen Lima of Berkley; two brothers, Paul King of Taunton, and Michael King of Bourne; a sister, Shirley Pinto of N. Attleboro; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several aunts and uncles.

A graveside service, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Friday, January 15th, at the Mass. National V.A. Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
