Harriet T. (Garcia) Jarvis, 69, of Fairhaven died Sunday September 21, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. She was the wife of Frank Jarvis, Jr.; they had been married for 49 years,
Born in Danielson, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Antone S. and Viola E. (Robinson) Garcia, she lived in Fairhaven for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fairhaven.
Mrs. Jarvis was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse at Our Lady's Haven.
She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School and the Diman School of Practical Nursing.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Roxanne Jarvis Dunlop and her husband Peter of Marion; a brother, Stanley A. Garcia of Acushnet; 3 granddaughters, Nealyn Dunlop, Hollis Dunlop, and Kiernan Dunlop; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and several cousins.She was the sister of the late Earl S. Garcia.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett, Wednesday September 24, 2003 at 8:45 AM.Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday September 23, 2003 from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
