Obituary

Founder of J.F. Kelleher Wallboard Co.

TEWKSBURY: John F. "Jack" Kelleher, age 65, a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the home of his brother, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Lowell on March 23, 1944, he was the son of the late William P. Kelleher, II and the late Helen (Dacey) Kelleher.
Jack was raised in Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury Public Schools.
Prior to his illness, he owned and operated the J.F. Kelleher Wallboard Company of Tewksbury.
Mr. Kelleher was the president of the U.S. Bunting and Cricket Club of Tewksbury for the past 15 years.
In addition, he was a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Post # 2070 and the American Legion of Hudson, NH.
Jack was an avid runner. He competed in numerous area road races and often finished amongst the top in his age group category. Mr. Kelleher also enjoyed skiing, traveling and was an avid fan of NASCAR Auto Racing.
Jack is survived by three sons, Stephen H. Kelleher and his wife Tammy of Bridgewater, NH, James F. Kelleher and his wife Erin of Tewksbury and Derek J. Kelleher of Concord, NH; one brother, William P. Kelleher, III and his wife Miriam of Tewksbury; seven sisters, Annmarie Christie and her husband James Edmunds, Mary F. Brooks and her husband Joseph all of Arizona, Margaret J. Kelleher of Haverhill, MA, Nadine M. Moore and her husband Robert, Joan E. Riedel and her husband Epilito Torres and Deidra A. Kelleher all of Florida and Lisa J. Miller and her husband Daniel of N. Carolina; six grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Breanna, Alex, Michael, Derek, Jr. and Jaelyn; his former wife, Shirley (Patch) Kelleher of Alexandria, NH.
Jack was the brother of the late Patrick W. Kelleher , husband of the late Paulette F. (Howe) (Jackson) and former husband of the late Arlene E. (Ebinger).
Calling hours will be held Saturday, Jan. 16th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. , at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by a memorial luncheon to be held at the U.S. Bunting & Cricket Club from 1 to 4 p.m..
