CLAIRE (GELINEAU) OUELLET, age 87, lifelong resident Lawrence, Massachusetts, died peacefully of age related illness at the home of daughter Linda Ouellet, son-in-law Mark Boegel and grandson Martin Boegel in NASHUA, NH. All four of her daughters were also with her as she departed. She had been in the loving care of Home Health and Hospice of Merrimack, NH.
Claire lived at 121-123 Easton Street in Lawrence since the age of 1 year old until August of 2009 when she moved to Nashua with Linda, Mark and her grandson Martin Gerard Boegel. Claire was a parishioner or the Sacred Heart Parish where she was baptized, confirmed and married, until the parish was consolidated with St. Patrick’s. Claire was married to the late Gerard P. Ouellet. They were the parents of Christine Gooding, of Rochester, NH, Paula Syverson, of Milford, MA, the late Dennis Ouellet, Richard Ouellet, currently of Indianapolis, IN, and the twins Lisa Guskiewicz of Lawrence and Linda.
Claire attended the Sacred Heart School from first through twelfth grades and received a certificate from the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational High School. She was employed for several years as a teacher aide at the Frost School in Lawrence during the tenure of Principal John Benjamin. Prior to that position she had worked for various employers in the city.
Claire enjoyed spending time with her family which also included sons-in-law the late James Gooding, Carl Syverson, Paul Guskiewicz and Mark Boegel, and grandchildren James, Eric, Keith, Victoria and Martin. One of her greatest joys was the birth of and time spent with her only great-grandchild Avery Mannion. Throughout her life, Claire also enjoyed BINGO, swimming at the Family YMCA, and recently spending time with her peers and staff at the Saint Joseph’s Adult Day Program in Nashua.
In celebration of her life and faith a funeral Mass for family and friends was celebrated in St. Patrick Church, South Broadway, Lawrence, MA at 11:00 AM on Friday January 15, 2010.
