RAYNHAM / TAUNTON – Mary (Victurine) Torres, formerly of Taunton and Raynham, died at the Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth on Jan. 10, 2010.
She was the wife of the late Edward H. Torres.
Born in Berkley, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Rose) Victurine.
Educated in Berkley and Dighton schools, she was a graduate of Dighton High School.
Mrs. Torres was a homemaker for most of her adult life and a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
A member of the Council on Aging, she was active in senior activities, and enjoyed traveling and dancing.
She is survived by five sons, Edward H. Torres and Richard P. Torres, both of Taunton, James B. Torres of Raynham, Kenneth J. Torres of N. Dighton, and Robert S. Torres of Cocoa Beach, FL; a daughter, Claire T. Bisio of E. Falmouth; two brothers, Ernest Victurine of Cranston, RI and Edward Victurine of FL; ten grandchildren; a great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Dorothy Martin, and Joseph and Frank Victurine.
The family will receive visitors at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Saturday, Jan. 16th from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Anthony Church at 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
