Obituary

Antone Venancio, age 87 of Fall River, passed away Jan. 8, 2010. Husband of Mary (Branco) Venancio. Born in Fall River, son of the late John and Sylvana Venice. He was a member of St. Michael Church. Before retiring, he was a Civilian Crane Operator for the U.S. Coast Guard in Woods Hole for 28 years. He was a member of the North End Bowling League, the Border City Club, and an avid Celtics and Red Sox fan. In his retirement, he enjoyed being on his boat & fishing. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II.

Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 Children: David A. Venancio & wife Karlene of Tiverton; Paula Dalton & husband Douglas of Fall River; & Donna Winn & husband Brent of Fall River. 2 Sisters: Alice Belcher and Rose Machado both of FL. 10 Grandchildren: Susan Connor, David S. Venancio, Kellie Bourassa, Tammy Farias; Holly Bennett, Robin Lambert, Ashley Dalton, Brandon and Tyler Winn, and Lisa Williams. 7 Great Grandchildren: Alicia Connor, Moriah Connor, Caitlin Venancio, Andrew Bourassa, Tallie Foster, Jack Bennett, and Allyson Williams. Several nieces & nephews.

His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Thomas Chew Memorial Boys & Girls Club, 803 Bedford St. Fall River, MA 02723
