Obituary

Michelle A. (Gaudreau) Veilleux, a 30 year resident of Lynn and formerly of Melrose, died on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington following an extended illness. She was 53 years old.

Michelle was born in Melrose on October 30, 1956 to the late Armand and Mary (Connolly) Gaudreau. She grew up in Melrose where she attended Melrose Public Schools and graduated from Melrose High School in 1974. She went on to attended Burdette Acadamy for two years. Michelle worked at Nazareth Academy High School in Wakefield as a secretary for several years. She spent many hours, volunteering her time at the Organ Bank at Salem Hospital and The New England Organ Bank in Boston. Most of all, Michelle dedicated her life to taking care of her daughter Amanda.

Michelle is the devoted and loving mother of Amanda R. Veilleux of Lynn. She is the former wife of Joseph R. Veilleux of New Hampshire. She is the beloved sister of Armand Gaudreau of Lynn, Mary Ellen Davis of Rochester, New York, and Lorraine Swett of Gloucester. She is also survived by her dog Molly and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Michelle's Funeral on Monday, January 11, 2010, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Melrose, followed by her Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours on Sunday, January 10, 2010, from 2 to 6 p.m.
