ALTHAUS, M. Esther, 94, passed away Wednesday (01/06/2010) at Floyd Memorial Hospital, New Albany, IN.
She was born in Louisville to George W. & Bettie (Nelson) Gaddie. She was a faithful member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church, where she volunteered many years in the church nursery. She also voluteered for years at St's Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Husband of 58 years Earl G. Althaus; Son: Wayne M. Althaus;
Daughter: Carolyn E. Boston; Grand Daughter: Angela C. Boston; and a Brother: Carl E. Gaddie.
Survivors include 2 Daughters: Rosalie M. Smith (Buddy) and Marilyn K. VanMeter (Raymond); a Sister: Margie Moody; 6 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral Services will be Saturday 1:00 PM (01/09/2010) at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation: Friday 12 - 8 PM Expressions of Sympathy: Ralph Avenue Baptist Church.
