Nathaniel Joseph, 66, of Manchester died peacefully December 26, 2009 at his residence after a sudden illness.
He was born in New Orleans on August 8, 1943, the son of Sidney and Ruth (Blanchard) Joseph Sr. He attended Ames High School and earned his degree from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA.
He had most recently been employed as an associate with Wal-Mart in Amherst.
Nathaniel loved music, sports and camping. Above all else, he loved spending time with his loving family.
Family members include his wife of 46 years, Darla (Stone) Joseph of Manchester; his children, Michael A. Joseph and his wife Bonnie of California, Gretta B. Joseph Simpson and her husband Ian of Boston, Jeffrey L. Joseph and his wife Kim of Manchester, and Derrick S. Joseph and his wife Joyce of Quincy, MA; nineteen grandchildren; his brothers, Sidney Joseph Jr. of Boulder, CO, Kerry Joseph of Baltimore, Cedric Joseph of San Diego, and Shelton Joseph of New Orleans; nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 in the Lambert Funeral Home chapel. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
