Obituary

Mrs. Gertrude P. (King) O'Brien-Vandette, 88 of Hampstead, New Hampshire passed away on Sunday, January 3rd, 2010 at her home.

She was born on October 6th, 1921 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Edward and Rosalind (Byrne) King. Gertrude was a graduate of St. Laurence Grammar School and of Lawrence High School.

She was employed in the office of Alps Sportswear Company until she retired in 1982. She also worked as a Volunteer at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA. Gertrude was a parishioner of Saint Anne's Church in Hampstead, NH.

She was a the widow of the late James O'Brien and the late Joseph Vandette.

Her family members include her son Joseph and his wife Cynthia (Battye) Vandette of Hampstead, NH,

Her daughter Kathleen (Vandette) and her husband Mark Waks of Pelham, NH.

Her grandchildren: J.J., Janessa and Justin Vandette all of Hampstead, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Sister of the late Veronica (King) Mannion Hennessey

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 6th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA.

Her burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
