Tammy L. Ulrich
BERLIN; Tammy Lee Ulrich, 48, a resident of Berlin much of her life, died Wednesday, December 30th in Marlborough Hospital with her mother at her side, due to complications caused by advanced Muscular Dystrophy after a fall at her home in Hudson.
She was born in Holden Hospital, the daughter of Donald H. and Margaret (Jones) Ulrich. She attended Berlin Memorial School and graduated from Tahanto Regional High School. She attended Worcester State College and Newbury College, and graduated from New England College, majoring in Data Entry and Business Management.
Ms. Ulrich was employed by Alden Electronics of Westborough, the Mass. Dept. of Revenue Office in Westborough, and finally at Wal-Mart, until her health forced her retirement.
She was a prolific enthusiast of needlework, doing crewel, needlepoint and cross-stitch, which she enjoyed making as gifts to friends and family. In her youth she played piano and guitar, and later continued to express her love of music by singing in church choirs and several choral groups. She was an avid reader, sometimes a book a day, and enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She had been a member of the Northborough Junior Grange, Berlin Girl Scouts and 4-H, and the Berlin Art and Historical Society.
She leaves her mother, Margaret H. (Peggy) Jones. Her father Donald H. Ulrich, her grandparents Henry & Marie Ulrich and Ralph & Elizabeth Jones, and several aunts, uncles and cousins predeceased her.
According to her wishes there will be no visiting hours or services. Following cremation at Rural Crematory in Worcester, her remains will be interred in a Jones family lot in Berlin’s South Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
