BEVERLY: Louise M. (Reday) Alto, 94, died December 31, 2009, in the Ledgewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Ari E. Alto, who died in January of 1987.
Born in Lexington on May 22, 1915, she was the daughter of the late J. Zoltan and Hortense H. (Kennedy) Reday. She was a graduate of the Rockport High School class of 1933 and had resided in Rockport and Gloucester most of her life.
Mrs. Alto was employed as a seamstress at the former Empire Clothing Store for many years. She was also a former member of the Trinity Congregational Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane L. and Rolf E. Davey, two grandchildren, Elizabeth Woodall and Mark Davey and a great-granddaughter, Carolyn Woodall. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, J. Zoltan and Ladislaw Reday.
Funeral services will be held privately.
