Eugene Kuntz 92, of 1031 Victory Highway, died December 19, 2009 in the Morton Plante Hospital in Clearwater, FL where he lived during the winter months. He was the husband of the late Melvina (Gaumond) Kuntz. Mr. Kuntz was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Camille and Leonie (Ruhland) Kuntz. He retired from Burgh Brothers where he worked as a press operator, he also worked for the former French Worsted Co. for many years. M. Kuntz volunteered for the Senior Meals in North Smithfield Program. He was very active in the Senior Olympics and was an avid bowler in Rhode Island and Florida. Mr. Kuntz was a foster parent for over thirteen children in North Smithfield for many years
He is survived by a daughter Jeanne Durand of North Smithfield, his companion, Helen Gorges of Clearwater, FL, a foster son John Corbridge of Eustin, FL, four grandchildren Keith, Jason Dennis, and Daniel, four great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He was also the brother of the late Lucien Kuntz.
A committal service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun St. Woonsocket.
