Margaret A. (Curran) LeGrand, of Duxbury formerly of Braintree, died on December 27th at the age of 86 at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston. Beloved wife of the late James LeGrand, she is survived by her children James LeGrand and his wife Karen of Carver, Margie Stafford and her husband Mark of Plymouth, Patricia LeGrand of Waban and Dennis, MA and Joseph LeGrand of Braintree. She also leaves her 7 cherished grandchildren, Tricia Joyce Moore, Chad Joyce, Danny and Matthew Stafford, Jill, Katy and Jamie LeGrand. Mother of the late Linda A. Joyce, John LeGrand, Jay LeGrand and Mary Alice LeGrand, John LeGrand, Jay LeGrand and Mary Alice LeGrand. Margaret was born in Somerville and graduated from Medford High School and Windom College in Boston. She had worked as a lab assistant at MIT during WWII and later as a sales associate at Jordan Marsh and Macy’s in Hanover. Margaret was a member of Holy Family Church in Duxbury where she has lived for the past 27 years coming from Braintree and enjoyed knitting, playing cards and especially spending time with her family. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at Holy Family Church in Duxbury at 11:30 am. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rte 3A) N. Plymouth on Tuesday December 29th from 3 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in Margaret’s memory, do something kind for someone you love.
