Mary T. (Mede) Mericantante, a long time Medford resident, died Saturday after a brief illness, in the Randolph Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Mericantante was born in East Boston, the daughter of the late James and the late Caroline (Johnson) Mede. Mary was raised in East Boston and Revere, but lived over 70 years in Medford. Active socially in Medford, she was dedicated to her family and friends.
The wife of the late Joseph Mericantante, she is survived by her daughter: Caroline Harris of Weymouth, her son: Thomas J. Mericantante of Abington, grandchildren: Michele, Paul, Karen, Steven, Carla, Caron and the late Carol. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.Mary was the sister of Rita Allen, Caroline Pesce, Edmund Mede and the late Pauline Taber, and James Mede.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.Funeral will be held at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 11 AM.Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
