Obituary

Mary A. (Lamb) Owings, born on July 9, 1918 in Boston, was called to heaven on December 22nd. Mary served in the United States Navy as a Telegrapher in the World War II.
She joins her previously passed siblings, Gertrude, Roy, Johnny, Edward and Robert.
She is survived by her siblings Donald, Doris, and Arthur as well as her son Michael and his wife Linda Owings of Abington and her 2 grandchildren Matthew and Beth Owings both of Abington.
Our family would like to sincerely thank the staff of the Bedford VA Hospital, specifically, those of Unit 4B.The quality of their care for both Mary and our family will be forever remembered.

Her services will be held on Tuesday December 29th at 9:45AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30AM in the St Bridget Church in Abington. Burial will be in the MA VA National Cemetery, Bourne MA. at 1:15PM.Visiting hours will be on Monday December 28th from 4:00-8:00.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary’s name and would be greatly appreciated .Please send donations to the Bedford VA hospital C/O Voluntary Services, 200 Springs Rd., Bedford,MA.01730
