O'Callaghan, James J. , longtime resident of Dorchester, December 22, 2009, at age 97. Son of the late James & Ellen(Murphy) O'Callaghan. Brother of the late Sr. Elizabeth O'Callaghan, O.P., Marguerite Lewis, Helen Malone, Anne, Louise, Mary, Lillian, and Kathleen O' Callaghan. Survived by his nieces Eleanor Hussey and Rosemary Haley, and his nephews William and James Lewis, as well as 3 grandnephews.
Visitation in the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd) DORCHESTER, on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Brendan's Church, DORCHESTER at 11 o'clock. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Mr. O'Callaghan was a WWII Veteran, and a proud member of the Boston Chapter of the Barbershop Quartet Society of America, and the Castle Island Assoc. He was also an avid golfer.
