Obituary

Henry W. Teague, 79, died Monday, December 21, at the VA Hospital in Brockton after a long illness. He was the husband of 49 years of Suzanne M. (Glennon) Teague. Born in Canton, he was a graduate of Canton Schools. Mr. Teague was a Veteran of the US Army during the Korean War, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. While in the Army, he served with the 155th Regimental Combat Team. He was wounded 7 times and awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Combat Infantry Badge. Mr. Teague worked as an Armored Car Driver for Brinks in Dorchester for over 28 years and then as the Facilities Manager for the Stoughton Post Office for over 10 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 24 in Canton and was a member of the Canton Town Club Championship Team of 1954. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and playing cribbage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Philip A. Teague of FL, Daniel F. Teague and his wife Carol A. of Canton and Matthew Teague and his wife Tracy of Easthampton. He was the grandfather of Jessica, Jake, Sara, Eleanor, Meghan and Erin Teague. He was predeceased by 10 brothers and 1 sister and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, December 28 at 11 AM Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial will be private at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Henry’s name may be made to the Canton Veteran’s Agent, 92 Pleasant St., Canton, MA 02021.
