Mary (Jengo) Fleishmen, 97, formerly of Prospect Hill Road, Noank, passed away at Bayview Health Center in Waterford.
She was born in New London to Joseph and Antoinette (DeMaio) Jengo on April 3, 1912.
She married John William Fleishmen on August 24, 1935 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New London. He died July 3, 1984.
She enjoyed boating with her late husband, and walso was an avid gardener and loved painting.
She is survived by her sister, Jennie Mauro, and her beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Jim Jengo, Andrew Jengo, Sue Gigliotti, Catherine DeNoia, Rose Corrigan, and Evelyn Marino.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 69 Groton Long Point Road, Groton on Monday, Dec. 28th at 11am. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic is assisting the family.
