Sylvia (Kristal) Franks 0f Revere formerly of Cambridge passed away after a short illness in Maryland on December 19, 2009. She was 81 years old. Born in Boston, MA she graduated from Cambridge High and Latin. Sylvia was a member of the Red Hat Club and loved Mahjong. She also sold Avon for forty years.
Sylvia was the former wife of the late Murray Brown. She was the devoted mother of Jerrold V. Franks of Virginia, Harriet Mathon and her husband William of Maryland, and Michael W. Franks and his wife Michele of Massachusetts. Sylvia was the loving daughter of the late Myer and Bessie Kristal. She was the dear sister of Norman Kristal. Sylvia was also the loving Grandmother of Elisa Mathon, and Ashley and Samantha Rollins.
A Chapel service will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Sunday, December 27 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Everett.
