Eileene O’Brien (Rosenberg) of Chelsea died on December 20, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers, MA. She was 81 years old. Eileene is the beloved wife of the late Richard O’Brien.
Eileene spent almost her entire life in Chelsea where she attended the Chelsea schools. Eileene was a sports enthusiast whom enjoyed watching golf, tennis, and football (especially the New England Patriots). She was widowed at a young age and left to raise her three children with the support of her family. She was very dedicated to her mother and aunt and was described as very friendly, warm hearted, independent, and a wonderful caregiver.
Eileene was the devoted mother of Susan Gaudet and her husband Bruce, Sheila O’Brien and Richard O’Brien. She was the dear sister of the late Esther Katz and the late Murray, Samuel, and Edward Rosenberg. Eileene was the loving grandmother of Michael, Robert, Elisha, and Nicole.
Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq.) Chelsea on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 1:30 PM. Interment in Everett. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101 or to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
