Florence G. (Dagesse) Ethier, 83 of Ray Ave. died Friday in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Ethier. Mrs. Ethier was born in Blackstone, MA, a daughter of the late Leonard and Delvica (Breault) Dagesse. She was a waitress and co-owner of the former Hamlet Diner. She was an avid bingo player and seamstress, and also enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Ethier is survived by a daughter Jeanne A. Caron and her husband Ray of Woonsocket, a granddaughter Sandra George of Washington DC, a sister, Irene Nicholson of Woonsocket, and three brothers; Maurice Dagesse of Brockton, MA, Emile Dagesse of North Smithfield, and Lucien Dagesse of Harrisville. She was also the sister of the late Lionel Dagesse and Muriel Dansereau.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Committal service will follow in the Chapel at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Visiting hours are prior to funeral Monday 9:00 - 10:00 AM.
