In Taunton, December 18, 2009, Robert Albert Francis passed away in Marian Manor Nursing Home at the age of 83. Robert was the husband of the late Natalie (Szteliga) Francis. He was born in Taunton to his late parents Edgar & Emily (Butler) Francis. Robert lived most of his life in Taunton, attended Taunton schools and served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a route engineer manager for ATT and a member of the VFW. Robert is survived by his sister Mildred Walczak and his late sister Louise Szteliga. His nieces and nephews: Raymond Roberts, Michael Szteliga, David Szteliga, Frederick Szteliga, Cynthia Hathaway and Catherine McCrillis. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd at 8:30am., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Rosary Church at 9:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours from 4-8pm. on Tuesday. Interment in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
