Donald R. Neves of Carver passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 15th from complications of Burkitts lymphoma. He was born in New Bedford MA on Feb. 6, 1923 to the late Charles and Anna (Costa) Neves. Left behind in this life to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 61years Olinda (Alves) Neves; his four children and their families; Paul and Paula of CT, Ken and Karen of NC, Brian and Pauline of Mashpee, Joanne Rowland and Charles Wyman of So. Dennis, 7 Grandchildren, many Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews’ dear friends and golfing partners.
He was predeceased by brothers; George and James and his sister Beatrice Avelia.
Donald was the former owner and operator of Flax Pond Lumber Co. and Neves Great Island Hardware; a Deputy for Barnstable County and US Army Veteran of WWII. He lives in our hearts and we remember his humor, his enthusiasm for life and his everlasting love for his family.
