FLORENCE____Mary S. (Struckus) Fitzgerald, 89, of Florence, formerly of 17 Endicott Street, Worcester, died Sunday, December 13, 2009 in Linda Manor Extended Care Center, Leeds. Her husband, Robert Fitzgerald died in 1986.
She leaves her sister, Lillian R. Struckus of Florence and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Joseph. She was born and raised in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph A. and Mary A. (Sinaskas) Struckus and graduated from Commerce High School. Mary lived many years in Worcester and has resided in Florence since 1994.
Mrs. Fitzgerald worked as a telephone operator 35 years for New England Telephone Co., and retired many years ago. She was a member of St. Casimir Church, Worcester.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 19 with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street, Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester is directing funeral arrangements.
