Evelyn E. (Heslop) Aites, 79 years of Brockton, died December 15, 2009 at the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of failing health. She was the loving wife for 61 years of Thomas A. Aites. Born and raised in Harrisville, PA she was a daughter of the late George E. and Ruth E. (VanDyke) Heslop. Following her graduation from Harrisville High School in 1948, she moved to Boston until 1972 when she and her husband became residents of Brockton. Over the years Evelyn was employed as an electronic assembler by various manufacturing companies and retired from BLH Electronics in Canton after ten years. She enjoyed gardening, especially her vegetable garden.
She is also survived by her children Thomas J. Aites and his wife Victoria of Brockton and Yvonne Aites of Woonsocket, RI; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Aites) Morgan, Thomas J. Aites, Jr., Tyrone Aites and Timothy Aites; six great grandchildren; a brother Virgil Heslop of Gerard, OH and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 10am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-7pm.
