Debra Sue Hester Kelley, 49, of Tifton died Monday, December 14, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2009 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts and Becky King will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date in Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 20090 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Kelley was born on November 10, 1960 in Hillsborough, Florida and was the daughter of S.A. “Bud” Hester and Vercie Howell Hester, both of Omega. She was a social worker in Social Services and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Benjamin Kelley
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelley is survived by her husband, Johnny Kelley of Tifton; one son, Johnathan “Boo” Kelley of Tifton; two daughters, Deidre Nicole Chestnutt of Tifton and Adrianne Kelley of Tifton; two brothers, James Hester and Donald Hester, both of Tifton; eight sisters, Diane Goff of Sylvester, Patty Davis of Waynesboro, Mississippi, Cindy Thompson of Tifton, Shirley Peters of Tifton, Carolyn Kelly of Tifton, Peggy Lindsey of Tifton, Brenda Gershon of Tifton and Shirelene Goodrich of Macon; one grandson, Dyson Ray Chestnutt of Tifton; and her beloved friend, Cindy Goodman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
