Shrewsbury—Livia (Beneventano) Iovanni passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009, with her loving family at her side. Livia was born in Paternopoli, Italy and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Annuzia (Pasquarele) Beneventano. Livia was married in Italy and moved to Shrewsbury in 1954 with her husband Michelle A. Iovanni who predeceased her in 1977. Livia is survived by her daughter Joanne Surabian and her husband Andy of Shrewsbury, her son Andrew Iovanni of Shrewsbury, and her daughter Nancy Power and her husband David and his son Cory of Worcester. Livia also leaves behind her four grandsons, Michael, Andrew, John, and Anthony Surabian who were the light of her life. She is also survived by a sister Clara Canara and a nephew Fernando and niece Pina, all of Paternopoli, Italy.
Livia was a caring, generous, and loving mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law who continually brought joy and happiness into the lives of those of us who loved her. Her strong and independent personality, soft smile, and sense of humor will be sadly missed but always fondly remembered.
