Gloria A. (Fagnant) Johnson age 82 passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. after a brief illness. A long time resident of East Greenwich and Hope Valley, RI, she lived in Atkinson, NH for the past 5 years.
Gloria was born on Sept. 17, 1927 to the late Horace and Mary (Barrett) Fagnant. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter R. Johnson. She is survived by her loving sons, Wayne & his wife Cynthia Johnson of West Kingston, RI. Barry & his Wife Dinnette Johnson of Fremont, NH. “Gram Glo” will be sadly missed by her 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Grandchildren, and her Great Great Granddaughter. She is also survived by 2 brothers, 1 sister, and many nieces & nephews.
Gloria pursued many creative activities during her life. She was an award winning cake decorator, who also enjoyed sewing and knitting. She was an avid gardener. In recent years, Gloria fulfilled a life long dream of becoming an artist and painter. She was especially accomplished in working with charcoals and watercolor pencils. Gloria relished solving Sudoku puzzles.
A Private memorial service for the family will take place at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. There are no calling hours.
