TYNGSBORO - Julie A. (Bartel) Murphy, 48, a former resident of Tewksbury, died Thursdaymorning, Sept. 11, at her home, following a six year battle with cancer. She was thewife of Francis J. “Frank” Murphy, with whom she would have celebrated a 22nd weddinganniversary on Sept. 19th.

She was born in Brighton, July 7, 1955, a daughter of Rita (McCafferty) Bartel of Falmouth, andthe late John V. Bartel. She was raised in Tewksbury and graduated Tewksbury Memorial HighSchool with the Class of 1973. She matriculated to Middlesex Community College, and graduated in 1975. She had resided in Tyngsboro for the past 21 years.

She was employed by the Law Offices of Robert Factor in Burlington, and for the last six years she had been active with the Lahey Clinic Cancer Support Group.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three step-children, Catherine and herhusband Eric Robbins of Merrimack, NH, Shaun and his wife Cheryl (Livsey) Murphy of Hudson,NH, Brian and his wife Bridgette Murphy of Maddison, Alabama; a brother,John Bartel Jr of Derry, NH; a sister, Patricia Bartel of Mashpee, Mass.; six grandchildren,Danielle, Dylan, Shauna, Ryan, Connor, and Kaitlyn; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, anddear friends.

Her Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Sept. 16, in St. William’s Church. Following cremation,interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Cape Code in Bourne.
