Lorenzo A. Vozzella passed away on December 4, 2009. He was 81 years old.
Born in Boston, Lorenzo was a lifelong resident of Malden. He retired from Boston Sand and Gravel where he had worked for 25 years as a truck driver. Lorenzo was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of Local 25, D.A.V., the American Legion and the V.F.W.
Lorenzo was the devoted husband of the late Margaret (Castrini) Vozzella. He was the beloved father of Lawrence Vozzella of Malden, Jo-Ann Galvin and her husband Michael of Ipswich and Kris Vozzella and his wife Jill of Malden. Lorenzo was the dear brother of Grace Vozzella and Nancy Sullivan both of Malden and the cherished grandfather of Jason Galvin and his wife Crystal, Alyssa and Tamra Galvin, Anthony and Nickolas Vozzella and Lewis, Lawrence Jr, Erin, Sara, Francesca and Frank Vozzella. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, December 7th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday, December 6th from 3-7 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
