Johnnie Lee Martin Tutor, 94, of Water Valley, MS died Friday, December 4, 2009 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley. Born April 26, 1915 in Water Valley, she was a daughter of John Simeon Martin and Rosa Lee Nelson Martin. She was a beautician and owned a beauty shop for many years. She was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Monday, December 7, 2009 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. James West officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 PM Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.
Johnnie is survived by one daughter, Peggy Tutor Hogan of Water Valley, MS; one son, Terry Lee Tutor of Germantown, TN; one brother, Hugh K. Martin of Jackson, MS; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Arnous Tutor and a host of brothers and sisters.
