Cheryl A. (Getchell) Vendetti 44, of Franklin, died peacefully at her home Thursday morning December 3, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Michael P. Vendetti.
Born in Norwood, May 31, 1965 a daughter of the late Warren E. and Mary A. (Cassidy) Getchell, she was raised and educated in Franklin.
She worked for more than 20 years as a secretary at Milford Regional Medical Center, until her illness forced her to retire.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 16 years are two sons, Anthony John Michael Vendetti and Vincent James Vendetti both of Franklin, two brothers William O. Getchell and his wife Lorraine of Norfolk and Paul D. Getchell and his wife Linda of Franklin, five sisters Joanne Eastwood, Betty Schurman, Jackie Bartelloni and her husband Gene, Diane McGann and her husband Franklin Town Councilman Joseph McGann, and Marsha Getchell and her husband Lary Lovett all of Franklin and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late John J. Getchell, James W. Getchell, and Michael A. Getchell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday Dec. 8th, at 10AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin (www.oterifuneralhome.com).
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
